Action Inc. is looking for volunteers for our 2017 Project Uplift Holiday Toy and Clothing Drive.
Project Uplift is Cape Ann’s largest toy and clothing drive, helping spread joy to over 600 local kids each year. Community businesses, organizations, and clubs help collect toys and clothes throughout December, which are then distributed to parents at our Holiday Shop. Children ages 0-14 are eligible and must be a resident of Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester, Essex, or Ipswich.
There are several ways to get involved with Project Uplift. You could:
- Become a donation site. Are you a local business owner? We’ll drop off and pick up toy collection boxes to your business.
- Collect toys through your clubs and organizations. Are you the member of a local club? Get your friends and members involved! It’s a feel-good way to give back to your community.
- Be a personal shopper at our Holiday Shop. We need volunteers to sort toys and help parents shop for their little ones. Come by yourself or come as a group! It’s a fun and rewarding experience.
- Spread the word!
