NEWBURYPORT — The Institution for Savings’ charitable foundation awarded $449,238 in the third quarter of 2025, President and CEO Michael J. Jones said.
The largest grant s included a $100,000 four year pledge payment to Citizens Inn for its Haven for Hunger campaign and a $30,000 pledge payment to Triton Regional High School for its stadium.
The bank also donated $30,000 to The Pettengill House as its community champion sponsor, $20,000 to the Newburyport Lions Club for the Yankee Homecoming Race T-shirt sponsorship; and $20,000 to Essex County Greenbelt Association for its Tour de Greenbelt sponsorship.
A $15,000 grant went to the John Ashford Link House to expand its CATCH services; and $10,000 donations to Nourishing the North Shore, Wellspring House in Gloucester and Ipswich Partnership for program support.
“At Institution for Savings, our mission has always been about more than banking—it’s about building stronger communities,” Jones said. “These grants are one way we can help ensure that the organizations doing incredible work right here at home have the support they need to keep making a difference. We’re honored to partner with so many inspiring local nonprofits whose
work strengthens the fabric of our community.”
