What a year! 2022 marks 57 years since Action Inc. was founded in 1965, and we are honored to still be serving the Cape Ann
community. This year, we were able to carry out our mission as strongly as ever. Here’s a short year in review. Among our proudest accomplishments include:
- Expansion of our Energy Program
- Adding more families and case managers to our Housing First program
- Offering fuel assistance for a record number of applicants
- Expanding our Housing Assistance program with a grant from the city of Gloucester
- Helping families keep their homes with rent and mortgage assistance
- Helping even more residents improve their career opportunities through our educational programs
The time we spend with our Cape Ann Community is always our favorite thing each year. And 2022 was no exception.
- This year, we celebrated with our Adult Ed grads in Stage Fort Park and watched our COMPASS students receive their high
school equivalency diplomas. - We welcomed four businesses into our Harbor Village space as part of Project Pop-Up.
- We celebrated at the Brazilian Independence Day festival.
- We partnered with Pathways for Children and Wellspring House to provide holiday gift cards to 1,200 local kids.
- We also enjoyed countless hours with our Cape Ann neighbors through our programs and around town.
And that’s just a sampling of all the vital services Action Inc. provides to our communities throughout the year. We are grateful to everyone who has helped us improve people’s lives and provide opportunities for all on Cape Ann. We can’t wait to continue our work and are excited for all the new experiences we will enjoy in 2023.
