Accountant

Account and Payroll processor with 5+ years of ADP experience required.  Assist with month end close including bank reconciliations, adjust and prepare journal entries, process payroll, AR and AP. Will also assist with revenue recognition and revenue analysis, budgeting/forecasting as needed.  Would love to have someone highly experienced with ADP’s WorkForce Now and Payroll.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform required payroll operations in ADP – data entry, reporting, tax payments, filing
  • Properly allocate time and attendance to appropriate departments
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
  • Reconcile payroll prior to printing and posting checks and validate confirmed reports
  • Understand employer paid benefits and payroll deductions
  • Process correct garnishment calculations and stay compliant with court/federal order
  • Process accurate, timely quarter-end and year-end reporting
  • Accounts receivable, tracking and generating invoices to funding sources
  • Accounts payable
  • Payroll and maintenance of employee vacation, sick time and compensation time accruals
  • Maintain filing systems for contracts and financial records
  • Prepare GL expenditure reports
  • Provide administrative support to the CFO and CEO
  • Attend and participate in departmental, organization-wide and other meetings
  • Act in the best interest of the organization, reflecting the values of team work, collaboration and mutual respect
  • Other administrative and clerical duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 5+ years’ experience processing full cycle payroll
  • Degree in accounting or related field
  • Accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge of Solomon Accounting
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state regulations
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel, ADP and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Strong work ethic and team player
  • High degree of professionalism
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, move and carry 10 lbs.
