What's New?
Action Inc.’s housing unit project and improvements to our shelter on Main Street have reached the half way point and we are planning a ribbon cutting for September 2009. Four condominiums that Action will sublet, are each one bedroom units with a kitchenette, living room and full bathroom, will be available for new tenants in the coming months. Potential tenants will be chosen in conjunction with the Housing Authority. In addition to the new units, Action is making substantial improvements to the Shelter building, with renovations to the kitchen, common areas, and bedrooms. The kitchen serves nearly 30 persons each evening, so the focus of the reconstruction has been on improving efficiencies, preparation and serving areas and installing a new refrigerator, oven and dishwasher. Stop by to see the work in progress at 370 Main Street, Gloucester.
